It's becoming a
tradition, an
holiday tradizion, given the period.
Even in 2017
Stefano Marrini try the Dakar odissey. This is
his fourth attempt, for me the third consecutive year struggling with his car's livery and management of the event on its social channels.
But this year there was a new car to draw. Left in garage the glorious Pajero, Stefano made his debut on a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser, obviously prepared in his workshop by the loyal Beppe Fanetti.
The car is great almost double the Pajero. Fortunately, given the large number of different brands (finally I counted 57) that I had to place, move, resize, reposition, fit, adjust above.
It was a long and laborious task
[ here ] and [ here ] approve the final combination and I would not have done it without a 3D model. A model did not exist for rFactor, the simulator I use for my render preview. But searchin' the net I found an excellent hi-poly base made from
Tulga Dashtseren, from Mongolia. Thank also to Francesco "Scaletta" Fodale, that once obtained and scaled model has provided the necessary mapping (still don't know all by myself!) to be able to work on. Finally (another tradition) thanks to
Sebastian Franco's
Grafica MAS DOS from Buenos Aires for the final realization work
